How I teach
My tutoring is built around one-on-one problem solving. I ask students to explain their thinking, watch where the process slows down, and identify the specific concepts, methods, or habits they need next.
From there, we work through targeted examples until the student can recognize the pattern, apply the method, and explain the reasoning back clearly. The goal is not just to finish an assignment, but to build the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed independently.
Typical session flow
- Review the goal or assignment.
- Work through problems together.
- Find the next missing concept or method.
- Practice until the student can explain it back.

Safety, logistics & payment
Parent-coordinated scheduling
For students under 18, scheduling and meeting details should be confirmed with a parent or guardian.
Public meeting options
I am happy to meet online or in parent-approved public locations, and I can suggest suitable local options when we discuss scheduling.
Location changes
I do not change meeting locations directly with a minor student. Any location change should be confirmed with the parent or guardian first.

I do not provide student transportation. In-home tutoring can be discussed, but I prefer that a parent, guardian, or other responsible adult be present.
Background check
A recent background check is available to parents or guardians on request before the first in-person session.
